St Mark's Episcopal School is Hiring a Middle School Math Teacher Near Houston, TX
Duties:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons
- Assess student learning
- Provide feedback and instruction to students
- Provide extra support and challenge for students during class and tutorials
- Serve as a middle school student advisor
- Teach an Elective course for Middle School students
- Engage in curricular review and mapping
- Collaborate with grade level and content area teams
- Nurture a partnering relationship with students and their families
- An understanding of and a passion for teaching the middle school-aged child
- A collaborative and joyful spirit
- A working knowledge of technology resources in education
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a math-related field, advanced degree preferred
- Work in a sometimes highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds; to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
- Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled classroom environment
- Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- A copy of your college transcript
- A completed and signed Background inquiry release. This is a criminal check that is required of all employees by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. St. Mark's Episcopal School will provide this document to you
- Evidence of citizenship or a legal work permit
