Job Description

Summary Repair and overhaul heavy equipment vehicles and other vehicles as instructed by Production Coordinator by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform all aspects of job following Mine Safety and Health Administration and SMC (St Marys Cement) safety rules. Examines vehicle and discusses with Production Coordinator and/or driver of vehicle nature and extent of damage or malfunction.

Troubleshoot and repair diesel engine.

Perform service intervals on all vehicles.

Make repairs to all mobile Equipment systems as needed, returning the equipment to full functioning unit. This may include A/C, 24 VDC trouble shooting, replacement of broken or damaged parts, lights etc.

MUST Have his/her own hand tools

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and to other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
