Position: Facilities Manager
Accountable to: Director of Church and Business Operations
Purpose: To serve St. Paul’s by overseeing day-to-day and long-term maintenance
and operation of the congregation’s buildings and grounds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage maintenance/custodial staff. Help them as needed. Plan for coverage
of janitorial duties and set-ups during absence or vacations.
2. Closely monitor and follow-up on janitorial-service work performance.
3. Maintain church, BASCC and school campuses.
4. Schedule and coordinate routine and major maintenance and cleaning projects.
Coordinate plans with impacted directors, staff members and vendors.
5. Make repairs as needed or requested by staff at church and administration
building.
6. Seek bids and maintenance agreements for the Director of Church & Business
Operations or pastor to approve. Schedule and coordinate work with outside
contractors as necessary.
7. Work with appropriate government agencies to ensure that buildings are safe
and meet current code requirements.
8. Make sure all facility certificates of inspections are updated and never expire. i.e.
elevator, boiler, kitchen suppression system, interior sprinkler system, fire
extinguishers and smoke detector stations etc.
9. Follow up with companies the church has service agreements with, being sure
their work is completed on schedule days and times.
10. Be sure set-ups are completed and any changes of dates/arrangements are
passed on to the custodian(s).
11. Ensure that scheduled maintenance of buses is planned and completed as
needed.
12. Ensure supplies necessary to perform repairs that are requested are purchased.
13. Attend regular staff meetings.
14. Other duties as assigned.
