Join the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco and be part of the solution to break the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence in San Francisco.
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco (SVDP-SF) is dedicated to providing hope and direct person-to-person assistance to break the cycles of homelessness and domestic violence. Established in 1860, SVDP-SF offers residential and comprehensive support services to help individuals stabilize their lives, overcome crises, and achieve self-sufficiency. Our organization serves as a beacon of hope and refuge for men, women, and children impacted by poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence in the San Francisco community.
At SVDP-SF, our most valuable asset is our dedicated team of nearly 200 employees working in four locations in San Francisco. Our operating budget is $17 million, sourced from various channels, including government contracts, foundations, corporations, individual donors, events, and earned revenue from investments. While we have established partnerships with entities like the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women (DOSW), and the California Office of Emergency Services (CALOES), there is untapped potential for expansion, particularly in fundraising efforts targeting individuals, foundations, corporations, and legacy gifting.
SERVICES
SVDP-SF serves hundreds of individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, or domestic violence daily. Our programs and services encompass two main areas: Homeless Services and Domestic Violence Services. Homeless Services include emergency shelters, transitional housing, access to mental health resources, and essential supplies. Domestic Violence Services are provided through the Riley Center, offering comprehensive support for survivors from crisis intervention to achieving self-sufficiency.
