Stable Hall, located at Pearl Brewery in San Antonio, is a new 1,000 capacity music venue opening in January 2024. Built as a horse stable 1894, it has seen three centuries on its journey to become a state-of-the-art music venue that channels both a classic theater and a Texas dance hall. The programming will feature national, regional and local artists in all genres and brings a commitment to showcase and energize San Antonio’s rich past and present music culture. Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter/Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the venue, creating a positive and hygienic environment for our guests and performers. This role involves a combination of janitorial tasks, minor maintenance work, and collaboration with other team members to uphold the high standards of our venue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness of various areas within the venue, including restrooms, common areas, and backstage spaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment used during performances and events.
• Floor Maintenance:
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to keep them free of debris and spills.
• Monitor and address any potential safety hazards related to flooring.
• Restroom Management:
• Ensure that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Regularly clean and sanitize restroom facilities to meet health and safety standards.
• Collaboration with Events Team:
• Work closely with the events team to prepare the venue for upcoming performances and events.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment as needed.
• Minor Repairs:
• Address minor maintenance issues promptly, such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, or reporting larger issues to the maintenance team.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or porter roles is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the venue's event schedule.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting and moving equipment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
