THE POSITION: The STACK Solution Delivery team manages the construction of data center space meeting the clients’ specific requirements. They are client focused with strong construction project management skills, driving process efficiency. They can make strong internal partnerships and contract with external construction and consulting project teams that deliver the client’s data hall fit-out project (s). Client requirements range in scale from a cage environment to significant modifications of a multi-MW facility.
As a client-facing Solution Delivery Manager at STACK, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of data hall fit-out construction projects while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction. You will be a key contact for our clients and will collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors, consultants and contractors, to deliver high-quality data center facilities. Must have a positive and can-do attitude while being a team player.

THE DETAILS:
- Location: Leesburg, VA
- Travel: Up to 10%
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening.
- Reports to the VP, Solution Delivery
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading Data Center Fit Out Projects
- Have solid foundations in technology along with a proven track record in successfully delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with both Hyperscale and Enterprise clients.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand and follow clear directions and meet specific deadlines with reporting, communication, and project schedules.
- Desire to be a team player across the organization.
- Skills
- Professional-level proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (also Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, MS Project)
- Experience with the tools of the trade (AIA Contracts, Construction Schedules, Budgets & Schedules of Values, Payment Applications, Lien Releases, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Vendor Agreements, Construction Insurance types, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of Data Hall Fit-Out projects scope and delivery process, how the work is sequenced and distributed between trades.
- Data Center technical knowledge, including OFCI/CFCI equipment, procurement strategies & lead times, Owner-direct vendors, etc.
- Pro-active self-starter, able to take ownership of issues and drive them to a successful and timely conclusion
- Ability to read, interpret and convey construction drawings
- Reliability, strong organizational skills and follow-through are essential
- Attention to detail, precision and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for STACK clients throughout the data hall fit out project
- Develop, build, and maintain strong contractor, vendor, consultant and client relationships
- Strive to always exceed client’s expectations for data hall fit-out projects results
- Manage project plans and ensure resources are properly allocated to deliver the project on-time
- Day-to-day site/team observation
- Ensure that STACK’s safety regulations are followed and met by project delivery teams
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that project goals are met, and quality standards are maintained
- Manage quality control in data hall fit-out projects
- Ensure that all data hall fit-out construction work adheres to client specifications and industry standards
- Manage any changes in project scope and schedule, ensuring that the client is properly informed and approves such changes when applicable
- Identify potential risks and issues to the project; proactively work to mitigate them, ensuring that the project remains on-track
- Take responsibility for driving issues to a speedy and favorable resolution
- Contract Administration support
- Review and negotiate change orders
- Collaborate with other STACK teams, including Construction, Sales Engineering, EH&S, Finance and Operations.
- Lead weekly meetings (client vendor) including creating and managing the agenda, recording and distributing meeting notes, manage overall discussions
- Provide regular project updates to clients, senior management, and stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
