Your tasksA Freight Specialist maintains all Domestic Shipping activities, maintain daily logs, identifies common shipping routes and negotiates rates. If you are an experienced Shipping Clerk who wants to be part of a team that builds high quality, state of the art passenger trains, this is your career.
- Analyze Stadler's domestic shipping activities
- Set up and maintain a Transport Management System
- Create Transport Concepts and Calculations of complex Transport Projects
- Identify frequently used routes / lanes, average weights and dimensions and typical frequency
- Identify suitable logistics partners (3PL and / or carriers) for the different clusters
- Negotiate rates
- Set up and monitor all incoming domestic deliveries
- Check shipping documentation before handing over to receiving
- Maintain daily shipping log
- Administrate daily delivery planning to smooth receiving activities in our warehouse
- Handle shipping claims (damage and loss) with the carriers
- Other logistics tasks as necessary
- High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Truck Brokering experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Hands-on mentality (working in the warehouse)
