You will work alongside the clinical practitioner. You will prepare patients for examination by performing vitals, blood draws, vaccinations, and reporting patient history summary. You are compassionate, outgoing, and a good listener. You must also be a highly organized team member with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
· Welcome patients by greeting them in person or on the telephone
· Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit
· Perform preliminary physical tests; blood pressure, weight, temperature and report the patient history summary
· Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results
· Complete diagnostic coding and procedure coding while keeping patient information confidential
· Educate patients by providing medication, diet information, instructions and answer their questions
· Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures
· Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications, and participate in professional organizations
· Adhere to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
Valid MA and BLS certifications
Good working knowledge of software programs
