The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting in managing company’s financial status, and assisting with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full general ledger accounting
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
• Maintain and record fixed assets
• Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain & keep highly confidential information secure
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to management’s attention
• Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
• Assist with audits, taxes and property tax returns
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
• Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary including state licensing/corporation renewals
• Prepare and file sales taxes for multiple states and localities
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Required 4 years of first-hand accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
• Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
• High Level working proficiency with accounting software
• You must have exceptional hands on knowledge of accounting
• Mandatory to have and maintain advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
• Able to analyze financial records and interpret
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and problem-solving skills
• Must be highly resourceful
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
