Staff Management | SMX is Hiring a Human Resources Clerk Near Chicago, IL

With Staff Management | SMX, you'll get a weekly paycheck, learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team in a clean and safe environment.
The Human Resources Clerk will collaborate with different departments and work efficiently with team members. In this role, the Human Resources Clerk should have excellent organizational skills to maintain employee files, whether they are stored physically or digitally, like working with people and have strong communication and organizational skills. This role is temporary, part-time with the opportunity to be full-time, permanent. The Human Resources Clerk must be bilingual and be proficient in Outlook & Microsoft Office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into the HR Field!
  • 20 hours a week
  • $20.00 per hour
  • Monday - Thursday (5 hours a day) Off on Friday

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour
Duties:
Duties would include:
  • Posting and updating internal job postings
  • Maintaining employee records, including vacation and sick leaves, and ensuring new hires provide required documents
  • Preparing payroll-related documents, collecting time and attendance records, and assisting with payroll errors
  • Updating databases and maintaining candidate data including scanning and updating the efile cabinet
  • Answering employee questions and resolving issues
  • Assisting in onboarding processes
  • Assisting in training processes
  • Assisting in orientations and data entry for the orientation
  • Assisting in managing calendars, appointments, and work schedules
  • Assisting in coordinating communication between departments
  • Must know how to operate and maintain office equipment, such as printers and copying machines

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
