Staff On Site currently seeking MIG/TIG Welder for first shift position in South Beloit, IL, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, primarily using MIG and TIG welding techniques. You will work with various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, to fabricate and assemble high-quality products according to specifications. 1. Perform MIG and TIG welding operations with precision and efficiency, ensuring the highest level of quality in welded assemblies. 2. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements and specifications. 3. Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and welding methods based on the project requirements. 4. Prepare workpieces by cleaning, grinding, and smoothing surfaces to ensure proper fit and alignment. 5. Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. 6. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required. 7. Collaborate with team members, including engineers, fabricators, and other welders, to discuss project requirements and resolve any issues or challenges. 8. Follow established safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment at all times. 9. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
