Job Description
- Evaluation of current manufacturing standard work processes, will review, update, or develop required inspection and preventative maintenance checklist and procedures. This will be completed by applying knowledge or research of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting and observing production operations and operators’ daily, monthly, and annual tasks.
- Improving manufacturing safety and efficiency by analyzing failure trends on parts, material, and downtime.
- Assists operators in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment based on observation of machinery and applying knowledge from experience.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
- Maintains service, PM, parts, material databases to ensure adequate min / max levels are maintained.
- Coordinates activities in scheduling, setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools: Directly engages in repairing and maintaining parts of equipment and machines.
- Performing routine maintenance and PM’s around facility buildings, inspecting, repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Maintaining and service the facilities HVAC equipment
- Applying preventative measures to all facilities to reduce the risk of future problems, repairing potential safety hazards to avoid near misses, injuries or damage to equipment or property.
- Facilities upkeep to include painting, touch up, repairs when areas have become faded, chipped, or damaged.
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs and operations are completed, documented in an exemplary manner and any potential safety items, hazards, or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintenance Technician requires a diverse mix of both hard and soft skills, particularly manual labor, technical sound, and a willingness to go above and beyond.
