As a Patient Services Representative with this growing pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations by responding to incoming calls and making routine outbound calls to assist patients, clients, and prescribers' offices with new and recurring prescription orders. This role demands excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service quality and regulatory compliance.
This is an in-person, onsite role in the Amherst area.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff, clients, patients, and doctors’ offices with prescription fulfillment.
- Respond to calls to process new and refill medication orders.
- Collect medical information and coordinate billing.
- Address questions and escalate complex issues to the clinical team.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external customers.
- Access records to follow up on customer needs.
- Document case activity and communications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 1 years of experience providing high-quality telephonic customer service.
- Superior telephone customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to communicate with customers while navigating through a variety of technical platforms and systems.
- Excellent Microsoft Office software skills, including Excel and Outlook in Windows format with demonstrated adaptability to internal systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
