Staffing Network is seeking Machine Operators for the overnight (3rd) shift in Dundee, MI. This client is a leader in plastic water containers and other post-consumer packaging.
Shift/Hours for Machine Operator:
3rd shift (overnight) 7PM-7:30AM
Payrate for Machine Operator:
$18.75
Job duties and responsibilities for machine operator:
Setting up and operating HDPE, PET or Extrusion production lines
Making necessary adjustments or minor mechanical repairs in a safe and efficient manner Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping
Operate and maintain equipment and forklifts Perform quality checks related to line operation
As needed utilize manufacturing data systems to perform basic shop floor functions
Respond to process control alarms, bringing processes back into control
Disposition non-conforming product according to established criteria
Coordinates the training sessions for all new hires in the department
Identifies opportunities for departmental improvement
Assists in change overs, productivity and scrap
Assists in training and mentoring as assigned
Participate in Plant meetings
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements skills for machine operator:
Lift and/or move up to 50lbs
Forklift operation
Sit, stand and walk up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to reach overhead, crouch/squat, kneel, climb ladders and/or stairs
Adhere to all PPE requirements per client
