Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation for employment-related claims, including FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and wage and hour violations.
  • Handle all stages of the litigation process, from drafting pleadings and motions to arguing in court and preparing cases for trial.
  • Take depositions, argue motions, and conduct arbitrations as required.
  • Prepare persuasive litigation documents, including administrative charges, court documents, and correspondence.
  • Perform detailed legal research and maintain effective communication with clients and external parties.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff, ensuring all deadlines are met and cases are managed efficiently.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in litigation, particularly in wrongful termination and discrimination cases.
  • Expertise in employment law and experience with all phases of the litigation process, including mediation, trial, and appeals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to represent clients effectively and negotiate settlements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
