automation, and systems' installations. As we continue to increase our presence in the market, we are seeking a dynamic and
driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The BDR will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and strategic direction of our automation group. The BDR will work with
our Sales Engineers to create new customers and exceed monthly sales goals from qualified sales opportunities. The BDR will
be cold calling, creating email campaigns, using social media, and networking to generate interest and identify potential
automation prospects. The BDR will gather relevant information about these prospects, such as their needs, challenges, and
buying behaviors, to assist the Sales Engineer with creating a tailored approach. We are seeking a persuasive and
independent individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, strong at building relationships, excellent at
hunting/prospecting and natural at problem solving with value added solutions.
Requirements
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prospect and generate leads through market research, networking, and targeted outreach efforts.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential customers' needs and assist the Sales Engineer with developing automated solutions to address their challenges and objectives.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities by effectively managing sales cycles and prioritizing activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop compelling sales entrance strategies.
  • Assist Sales Engineer with negotiations and the closing of deals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to management on qualified opportunities, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate good leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Work effectively and interact with multiple levels within our organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding targets and expectations.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales or relative skillset and aptitude.
  • Prefer strong understanding of industrial automation technologies, processes, and solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Programs
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Must have (and maintain) a current unrestricted license.
WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is in an office setting where the noise level is generally quiet to sometimes moderate if working near the shop
area. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal
manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
