Provider Support Specialist in Augusta, ME DESCRIPTION: This is work assisting providers with program/policy questions, payments, communications, and direction. The role acts as a liaison between the unit and the providers enrolled in the programs. Work includes creation of materials as well as providing quality review of data and materials for internal guidance or for communication with providers. Research of payments or utilization/claims data for providers is also involved. Interfaces regularly with our primary care practices to help them understand the Primary Care Plus program, their payments, their member attribution, etc.Completes research and data analysis tasksParticipates in team planning activities to recommend changes and improvements in relevant delivery system reform initiativesManages and processes provider payment request queues for value-based purchasing programsSupports providers by responding to questions and requests related to delivery system reform programsProvides support in quality assurance review of program data and materials to be provided to providersUtilizes email to communicate information, notices, and data to program-enrolled providersCoordinates with various managers within the unit to assist in areas where support is neededTracks program data for program oversightResearches program policies to determine if providers meet or maintain compliance to requirementsAssists other unit staff in accessing data in program systems as well as educating new users in the use of such systems
