Social Services Licensing Consultant I
This role can be done remotely and requires some travel.
Description:
Complete licensing process for Home and Community Based Settings (HCBS)
Complete onsite inspections
Respond to critical incidents and complaints and determine next steps.
Conduct investigations.
Determine compliance with regulations and policies.
Assist licensees with technical assistance.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all interactions are documented.
Determine appropriate licensing action as applicable.
Representative Tasks:
Process licensee paperwork for new providers and renewals.
Ensure all appropriate documents are included in the application, review for accuracy.
Review plans of correction and determine whether to accept or deny.
Physically inspects service provider sites for standards of health and safety.
Communicate with licensees regarding rules and regulations.
Investigate complaints and provide appropriate follow-up.
Complete Statements of Deficiencies
Follow up on Plans of Correction with licensees to monitor progress.
Monitor licensing records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to exercise sound judgement.
Ability to think critically and reach logical conclusions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of social service agencies and programs
Ability to use data systems to enter information and extract reports.
Ability to read and accurately interpret rules, regulations, and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five years education or experience in compliance, quality, inspection, or related field. Previous social service work welcomed.
