Staffing Technologies is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Ashburn, VA

Are you passionate about maintaining critical infrastructure in a dynamic 24x7 data center environment? Join our team of dedicated professionals as a Critical Facility Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center's critical and non-critical equipment.

Shift Schedule:

  • Rotate between day, second, and night shifts every 3 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety systems, temperature control systems, and building management systems.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain critical infrastructure components such as UPS systems, power distribution units (PDUs), and backup power systems.
  • Operations Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the data center's electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with change control processes, standard operating procedures, and data center best practices.
  • Activity Scheduling: Schedule and oversee preventive, contracted, and general maintenance activities for data center equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and customer concerns, ensuring safety and operational efficiency within the data center.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Monitor and manage data center environmental conditions to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of data center experience supporting electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with data center management software
  • Strong understanding of data center power and cooling systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
