Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced operations manager to oversee and enhance manufacturing processes and activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, supporting, and improving manufacturing efforts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
This role involves supervising various manufacturing operations, including processing, fabrication, forming, machining, and assembly of metallic and/or composite parts.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, systems, and processes, while also challenging conventional manufacturing wisdom and driving innovation in production and process techniques. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, make recommendations for capital needs to support business growth, and foster cooperative relationships with other departments within the organization. Adherence to company policies, safety standards, and financial targets is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, support, and improve manufacturing operations and activities.
  • Supervise various manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Challenge conventional manufacturing wisdom and drive innovation in production techniques.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned business.
  • Make recommendations for capital needs to support current and future business growth.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with other departments within the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and financial targets.
  • Oversee the work of direct reports, ensuring effective production of quality work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive background in manufacturing processes, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards, systems, and processes.
  • Experience working with aerospace materials, including metallic and non-metallic composites.
  • Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, train, and motivate others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across organizational levels in a fair, respectful, and constructive manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and related manufacturing computer systems/software.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the work of direct reports, ensuring they effectively produce quality work.
