Staffmark is hiring a new Formulator for a family-owned business in Reno, NV. Our client travels the globe visiting spice farms, examining crops, and establishing long-term relationships with farmers to procure the best raw materials available. Pay: $17-$19 per hour
1st Shift Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday
The Formulator is responsible for retrieving, weighing, and palletizing raw ingredients needed for seasoning batches according to the batch formula. This role involves using calibrated scales, tools, and laboratory equipment to ensure precise measurements and high-quality production. You will collaborate with the production team and inventory management and conduct regular checks and calibrations of scales and other measuring equipment.
Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment (at least 3 years).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Proficiency in using calibrated scales, laboratory equipment, and other measuring tools.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurement and record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy ingredients and pallets (up to 75 pounds).
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation protocols in a production environment.
