The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment used in production.
This includes maintaining and enforcing safe operating procedures for extruders, such as overseeing guards, blow plugs, and pressure gauges.
Additionally, the role involves monitoring and maintaining auxiliary equipment to uphold uninterrupted production schedules, and managing the maintenance of reduction equipment, including blades and drive belts.
The technician troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems across various equipment handles pneumatics work such as air line distribution and regulator maintenance, and conducts hydraulic work including oil checklist management and hose inspection.
Responsibilities also include maintaining plumbing systems, including water layout and pump station operations, performing maintenance on loaders, receivers, and shipping area equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining a tidy maintenance area.
Qualifications :
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Proficiency in basic electrical theory and mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred), PanelView HMI, and remote I / O types.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical design.
- Welding and plumbing abilities preferred.
