StaffSource is Hiring a Senior Staff Accountant Near Knoxville, TN
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
Perform tax research on a variety of federal and state issues as needed, including during acquisitions. Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Support audit activities and liaise with external auditors as needed. Support acquisition activity.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in accounting and finance.
Ad hoc projects as requested by Controller and CFO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity, experience with multi-entity SaaS companies preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with clients.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change.
Smart and agile problem solver, with low ego and high integrity
Proficiency in Sage Intacct ERP system or similar system and advanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel (pivot tables, x-look up experience a must).
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
