Job Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for cutting sheet metal into parts by operating various machines, including but not limited to; a laser, shear, turret, saw, or drill.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Select, load, and setup correct material in the machine according to work instructions
• Select, verify, and run correct program needed to process material
• Quality control of items by inspecting, measuring, and verifying parts produced
• Operate crane as needed
• Operate tow motor as needed
• Safety and housekeeping
• Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements:

• Must be able to perform basic math skills
• Ability to read and understand work instructions
• High School diploma, or equivalent, is preferred
• Previous experience operating a machine a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):

• Required to use safety glasses, hearing protection, and wear safety toed shoes

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Plant environment such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes
• Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable
• Excessive heat in the summertime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
