All new hourly / staffing production team members are eligible for a $500 Sign-On Bonus! Bonus is paid at $125 weekly for your first 4 weeks of working full-time at Stampede.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Trim meat sub-primals according to specifications using a meat-cutting knife.
  • Cut and trim steaks.
  • Handle the physical pressures of splitting non-frozen meat in half (next to vein) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team and follow direction.
  • Adherence to all quality and safety guidelines.
  • Performs other duties, as needed.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Regular attendance is required.

Education and / or Experience

Must be able to pass a meat trimming test after 45 days of training including time working alone.

Other Skills and Abilities Understand trimming rules and specifications of product. Ability to understand meat tolerances.

Must be able to work in a cold environment. Must be able to handle frozen meat with hands throughout the day. Must be able to wear safety helmet, gloves and safety boots.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to extreme cold temperatures in the plant and freezer.
