Stampings of Minnesota, Inc is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Lakeville, MN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure the highest standards are met in our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, project management, and quality inspection.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Hires and trains quality assurance staff.

· Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.

· Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.

· Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.

· Coordinates product testing processes.

· Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.

· Drafts and implements policies and procedures to improve the manufacturing process and the quality of goods produced.

· Maintains records of test results, defects identified, and other key metrics related to quality control.

· Analyzes quality control test results and offers feedback and interpretations of those results to production management or staff.

· Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures, manuals, and documentation for the manufacturing and QA processes.

· Monitors and periodically reports on production quality, nonconformance, trends, and underlying causes of defects in products or processes.

· Ceases production when serious product defects or risks arise.

· Collaborates with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with delivered products.

· Provides technical and administrative support and guidance to direct and indirect reports.

· Develops and maintains a system to track and report projects and results of quality awareness programs and initiatives.

· Drafts and maintains product assurance policies and procedures, ensuring specifications and requirements are met.

· Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve quality standards, standard repairs, process controls, and inspection methods.

· Oversees data collection, analysis, and other research for quality projects.

· Conduct Root Cause Analysis to maintain external/internal Quality metrics.

· Issue Corrective Action for internal repeated non-conformances.

· Facilitate cross department MRB review to maintain timely Quality disposition.

· Participate in Supplier CAR’s to mitigate future risk

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in related industrial, scientific, or business field required,

· At least three years of related experience in manufacturing and production required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
