JobDescription :

The Overhead CraneField Service Technician Will Troubleshoot repair inspect andupgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customerlocations.

Operates a company truck to make service calls in thefield. Interface with site maintenance / engineering personnelregarding equipment condition.

Communicates with the officefrequently during the day so that work can be scheduled andcompleted on a timely basis. Performs OSHA required crane and hoistinspections and generate inspection reports via companyissuediPads.

Participates in monthly safety meetings. Other dutiesassigned bysupervisor.

Qualifications :

Astrong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solidstatemotor control systems required. Experience in 3 phase power controlvoltage radio controls and VFDs.

2 Years of prior industrialelectric motor and control experience is required. Ability to readelectrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Able to troubleshootwithout prints on occasion.) Some mechanical ability to work withgear reducers and drive systems. Basic computer skills to work withwebbased crane inspection programs.

Ability to troubleshootproblems and work toward a solution. OSHA Hoist and Craneinspection training. A valid drivers license and acceptable drivingrecord.

Ability to work overtime as required by customers on callas part of our 24hour customer service call program and able totravel and work out of town on occasion.

Must be able to frequentlylift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a dailybasis. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

although not on a dailybasis. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. This positionrequires frequent climbing balancing stooping / crouching andoverhead reaching.

This position will be frequently exposed to heat cold noiseand heights.
