Pay: $25/hr. (Depending on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Job type: Temp to hire.

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Job Description:

The purchasing agent role involves identifying business requirements for goods, materials, and services, researching potential vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Responsibilities include ordering supplies and equipment, finding reliable suppliers, negotiating prices, and maintaining quality. The candidate will monitor stock levels, identify purchasing needs, and update internal databases with order details. They will also maintain accurate records of purchase orders, handle data entry and filing, follow up with suppliers to confirm or change orders, and liaise with warehouse staff to ensure product quality upon arrival. Additionally, they will match purchase orders, receivers, and invoices for correct quantities and prices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, or two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must have coordinating, market research, and analyst experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Frequent communication with inventory and shop managers is required. Experience in manufacturing or construction, basic math skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. The candidate should be detail-oriented, a quick learner, organized, and possess strong customer service and time management skills. Experience in purchasing and estimating, understanding parts ordering, and familiarity with invoicing, packing slips, and receipts are necessary. Knowledge of Macola is also required.
