Summary:
Stand Energy Corporation in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a motivated long-term employee to join our accounting department in the natural gas industry. This position will work directly with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the Assistant Controller on day-to-day accounting operations while reporting directly to the Assistant Controller and then Corporate Controller/CFO.
Responsibilities & Duties:
-\tManage and reconcile various General Ledger accounts
-\tAssist in monthly closing processes and reporting
-\tAssist in keeping the daily accounting records accurate and in line with management’s expectations as well as
the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
-\tPrepare preliminary reports to support monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
-\tManage our various inventory balances and valuation
-\tMake necessary accruals to ensure accuracy of accrual basis accounting books
-\tAssist in year-end audit process
-\tResearch and assist in keeping the company up to date and in compliance on various tax rates, laws and issues
-\tMonthly Choice customer pricing calculations and submissions
-\tVerify and approve vendor and supplier invoices
-\tAssist and backup Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
-\tProcess customer cancelation imbalances
-\tGenerate and compile various reports as needed
-\tBe able to work both independently, and with others, as well as on the fly as things come up to meet time
constraints
-\tBe efficient in your time management and self-motivated to continue learning and meet deadlines
-\tOther various tasks as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-\tBS in Finance or Accounting or related experience (5 years)
-\tAble to communicate clearly and effectively with all different levels of expertise
-\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy
-\tStrong organization and planning skills
-\tProficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
-\tAccounting Software background preferred, specifically Microsoft Dynamics
