We currently have an opening for a DELIVERY TRAINER to assist in the training and evaluation of our delivery teams in addition to a number of other duties (see below for details).
Position is full-time with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. Must be okay with working a flexible schedule, i.e. Saturdays and overtime as needed.

Essential FunctionsMinimum Qualifications

• Assist in the creation of training solutions to eliminate delivery problems and challenges, including but not limited to:
• Developing policies and procedures for management review/approval.
• Modifying existing policies and procedures for management review/approval.
• Identifying/testing new equipment with manager approval.
• Attending outside training and document how it would improve/streamline delivery procedures.
• Conduct new hire orientation based on delivery manual and pertinent policies and procedures as defined by management.
• Track and evaluate new hires during their initial mentorship. Ensure the completion of the training log and submit to Operations Manager when complete.
• Conduct follow and ride-along delivery inspections in accordance with the following:
• Submit weekly evaluation plan to management for approval.
• Complete evaluation form for each team/delivery.
• Review evaluations with management.
• Conduct counseling session with delivery teams to review evaluations.
• Assist management in procuring supplies for delivery as directed.
• Issue, track, and review delivery and warehouse uniforms.
• Supervise delivery when Manager not on duty.
• Back up delivery routers during vacation periods.
• Assist in other areas of the delivery department as directed.
• Assist in other areas of the company as directed.
• Ability to analyze data and establish a working plan based on several sources of data.
• Documented prior experience in a fast-paced, friendly customer service environment.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Fluency in English (written & verbal).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e. Saturdays and overtime as needed.
• Ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under stressful situations.
• Must have 3 years delivery driver experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with geography of Portland Metro area.
• Working knowledge of STORIS computer system.
