ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision and direction of the Department Head of Humanities/Fine Arts, provide direction in the planning, coordinating, and instructional assignments for Spanish courses within established timelines.
Teach classes as assigned each semester online and/or seated, prepare syllabi and distribute appropriately, evaluate students, and participate in course improvements.
Create, administer, grade, and maintain records for exams, projects, activities, and reports for evaluation of students in each course.
Advise students on a bi-semester basis in relation to academic progress.
Actively participate in student retention by introducing the Academic Support Center activities to the students, referring students to the ASC (Academic Support Center), and either contacting or having the student's success coach contact students after one week of missed classes/failure to progress.
