We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting our students as the Education Operations Manager for our online school, Holston Academy.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Education Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of school’s educational programs and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of educational services. This role involves managing administrative processes, coordinating with various departments, and implementing policies and procedures to enhance the educational experience for students and staff. This position reports to the Head of School or Designee


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Manage education operations department new projects, systems, and processes to increase and improve customer experience and efficiencies.
  • Work cross-collaboratively with Organization schools to support the streamlining of processes.
  • Work closely with Admissions and Academic Support to resolve service issues, develop and implement solutions, and ensure operational requirements are met for students and teachers.
  • Lead administrative and operational tasks related to academics and systems including supporting Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System reporting and data collection.
  • Manage courses and teacher assignment in the LMS.
  • Create workflows to support students and families in onboarding.
  • Manage onboarding of faculty and staff including training on systems and software.
  • Manage the processing of all new enrollments and re-enrollments.
  • Provide consistent and professional customer service to students, parents, partners, secondary contacts, and other referral sources.
  • Assist in ensuring day-to-day school operations run smoothly.
  • Perform administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned. These may be changed or modified from time to time

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct the hiring, training, timely performance evaluations of team members, oversee their daily activities and oversee the daily workflow of the department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking, use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve systems and process problems, analyze information, and evaluate results to choose the best solution.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple requests or interruptions while still completing projects or work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Self-sufficient, resourceful, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in relevant industry or discipline. Equivalent experience is included in and not separate from total years of professional experience is required.
  • 3 years’ experience working in an educational environment is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Vision: Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolong periods, prepare, or documents and operate office equipment.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear average or typical conversations and receiving ordinary information.
  • Speech: Ability to be understood in face-to-face communication, in person or remote, to speak with level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone or computer.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to read, write, understand, interpret, and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; math skills at a high school proficiency level; judgement and the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards; give verbal instruction; rank tasks in order of importance; copy, compare, compile and coordinate information and records. Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work. Understand how to manage stress. high workflow management, high project coordination, and high people engagement.
  • Upper Body Mobility: Ability to use fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together, use hands to grasp, and manipulate small objects; twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head.
  • Strength: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Environmental Requirements: Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors. Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work in a low to moderate noise environment with frequent deadline pressures.
