Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage both dry bean and non-GMO soybean accounts and certifications
  • All aspects of Customer Service including order receipt, scheduling, and invoicing
  • Accurate customer contracts are to be maintained
  • Grain receipts and settlements
  • Monthly and yearly inventory management
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Administer department policy
  • Assist Division and/or Plant Manager with the coordination of all required reports
  • Answering phones, filing and other related clerical tasks
  • Availability for extended hours including weekends during peak times
  • Perform other duties as required

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Division/Plant Manager in the supervision of any part time employees that may be involved or responsible for assisting in the accounting office.
  • Assist or resume the following in the absence of the Division and/or Plant Manager – Overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including;

o Training employees

o Planning, assigning, and directing work as an extension of the Division and/or Plant Manager

o Addressing complaints and resolving problems

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred or High school diploma and two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic accounting information including:

o Bills of Lading

o Invoices and Statements

o Purchase orders

· Ability to accurately record data on forms

· Ability to respond verbally and/or in writing in a professional manner to:

o Common inquires

o Complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals

· Ability to effectively present information to and/or respond to questions of:

o Managers

o Customers

o General public

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply the concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact, and draw valid conclusions

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred

· Basic accounting skills a must

Physical Demands

Physically able to perform all requirements including but not limited to:

· Use hands to finger, handle, or feel

· Talk or hear, taste or smell

· Frequently required to stand, sit and walk through out your entire shift

· Occasionally required to reach with arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

· Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

· Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
