Star Trax Events, a full-service event production and entertainment company in the Metropolitan Detroit area, is looking for an Event Manager to join our team. Specializing in full-service event planning, design, and management for both corporate and social events, we produce extraordinary experiences for groups of any size. Our team of creative and innovative planners pride themselves on customer service and attention to detail. They coordinate every aspect of an event, including conceptualizing, budgeting, planning, execution, and maintaining vendor partnerships. Along with in-house AV systems, furniture rentals, interactive experiences, photo products, entertainment, and a full-service valet parking department, Star Trax Events offers everything one needs for an event.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an individual who is extremely efficient, creative, client-focused, and systems-oriented. In addition, the position requires a person who can sell, plan, and execute events at various locations in and around Metro Detroit. The Event Manager will be highly organized and can plan multiple activities and meet deadlines with the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2-years in the hospitality and events industry
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work weekends and holidays

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manage sales and bookings for new clientele
• Provide onsite management and supervise team members and suppliers
• Create client contracts
• Create, maintain, and update floor plans
• Oversee event logistics
• Research and book interactive activities, entertainment, and vendors
• Recruit and manage training process of entertainers and onsite staff
• Weekend setups and onsite event management
• Book and manage travel for out of state events
• Venue Management – all inquiries, site visits, and staffing for events
• Monitor and evaluate trends within the industry
• Perform any other duties as requested by management
