· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, individualized, learning activities using prescribed curriculum. Prepare weekly lesson plans.
· Maintain a classroom environment that supports the curriculum, the individual needs of the children and the Head Start Performance Standards. Maintain cleanliness and safety of classroom according to regulations.
· Maintain required classroom ratios and record daily attendance and meal counts. Enter daily attendance records and meal counts in data system.
· Maintain Child Information Forms in classroom and ensure children are released only to authorized individuals.
· Participate in family-style dining with children. Have knowledge at all times of any documented food allergies or intolerances.
· Conduct child screenings using the ASQ tools. Enter results in data system.
· Record and document anecdotal notes. Maintain and update child portfolios.
· Evaluate developmental progress of children and record progress using prescribed child assessment tool.
· Plan, schedule, implement, and document home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
· Administer medications, as needed, per documented Health Care Plans for children.
· Work with and provide guidance and support to student teachers, volunteers, or observers.
· Encourage and support the participation of parents in classroom activities. Prepare individualized home activities to extend classroom learning objectives and to facilitate the generation of Non-Federal Share.
· Process home activity sheets, volunteer records and process required In-Kind forms. Meet required classroom In-Kind goal assigned by Center Manager and In-Kind Coordinator.
· Attend all trainings and in-services as directed.
· Maintain confidentiality in all areas for children, families, staff, and records.
· Adhere to Agency personnel policies and procedures and Head Start performance standards.
