Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
· Utilize accounting software, Great Plains, to record and maintain financial transactions
· Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and irregularities
· Oversee and review payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
· Perform HR administration, such as, ensuring all onboarding activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements. Track and monitor employee eligibility for benefits enrollment.
· Assist with coordination for workers compensation claims
· Assist with tax filings and other regulatory reports to ensure compliance with all company regulations.
· Manage the cash collections process, including processing cash receipts and resolving payment discrepancies.
· Oversee the accounts payable process, including reviewing invoices, reconciling vendor statement and resolving payment discrepancies.
· Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
· Assist with maintenance of the standard costing system
· Prepare 1099s, manage fixed assets, assist with yearend review
· Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis
Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Bookkeeping skills and knowledge of accounting systems
· Experience with inventory management and standard costing preferred
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as Pivot charts & tables, data analytics
· Proficiency in using accounting software such as Great Plains or similar programs
· Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
· Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements
· Experience with payroll processing and employee benefits
· Honest, professional, trustworthy, respectful of others with sound work ethics
· Continuous improvement mindset
· Goal orientated
