JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with maintaining a customer service-driven Main Dining Room and Back Door Lounge operation. Lead, motivate, and inspire employees to deliver consistent high quality of product and service. Drive continuous improvement in service quality by defining and improving processes, scheduling appropriate staff levels, developing staff, and encouraging communication between lounge, main dining room, kitchen, sales, and banquet departments.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Formal training with point of sale systems or other sales and marketing online systems
Illinois Food Sanitation License
Illinois BASSET certification
Illinois Allergen Awareness Certification
Knowledge of food and beverage, banquets, lounge operations.
Thorough understanding of the application of Point of Sale systems.
Hands-on knowledge of the legal requirements for food and beverage operations, including human resources management, safety, hygiene.
Demonstrated success in building strong teams and motivating staff performance.
Good knowledge of wine, food and liquor.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated high level of organization and time management.
At least one year of experience in front-of-the-house supervision.
Experience in a complex resort/banquet facility preferred.
Experience with purchasing supplies and controlling inventory.
Demonstrated success at managing people and delegating responsibility, as well as success in building strong teams and motivating staff performance.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
Must be at least 21 years of age
