Top Skills and Positions:

- 1 Full Stack Drupal/JavaScript Engineers (90/10 backend and front end experience with the ability to pivot from project to project. Must feel comfortable in “chaos” environment. These individuals will be supporting Marketing executive “wish list” items. Most of the work will be development on redhat.com sites to ensure each site (ansible.redhat.com, openshift.redhat.com etc.) have the same look/feel and user experience

- Skills needed: 5-10 years of Senior Full Stack Drupal Development, strong background in JavaScript (React/Node), exposure to CI/CD, Source Control (Git), PHP competency (Drupal/Symfony), build/deploy automation tools such as Jenkins/GitLab, Ansible, Puppet or Chef.

Logistics:

- 100% remote, must be flexible with east coast standups/hours

- Will start by August 1st once all paperwork is signed

- Preference for W2, but open to H1 if they are proven resources and have the required/desired skills

- Contract is currently through December 31, 2023. They must be immediately available for new engagements starting on or before August 1st. Contract MAY extend into 2024 if additional funding is secured.

Job Description

The client Marketing and Legal team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance our web platforms and services. In this role you will collaborate with both local and remote team members and other teams to design, develop, document, test, monitor, maintain, and operate a wide range of both public-facing and private software. Qualified applicants will contribute to the team's capabilities by demonstrating technical competence, exceptional communication skills,

personal initiative, creativity, desire to learn, transparency, and ability to work as part of a team.

Primary job responsibilities

● Design, develop, document, test, monitor, maintain, and operate HTTP services and middlewares for internal (private) and external (public) customers, both in the public/private clouds and in dedicated data centers

● Work closely with domain experts to analyze and implement business requirements

● Work closely with application development teams to standardize build, deployment and operational patterns, tooling, and shared libraries

● Software build and deployment automation

● Research and contribute to open source technologies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required skills (5-7 years experience)

● Advanced level of modern JavaScript backend competency

● Advanced level of PHP competency (preferably Symfony and/or Drupal)

● Implementing integration design patterns, especially in a microservices and/or event-driven architecture

● Ability or willingness to understand and reverse engineer applications in any programming language

● Source control (Git)

● Load balancing methodology knowledge

● Continuous integration tools and processes. Continuous delivery experience is a plus.

● Build/deployment automation tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

● MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, and/or MongoDB
