Stash Ventures LLC is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing business. The Accounts Payable Specialist will review, reconcile and pay vendor/customer billings in a timely and accurate manner. This position plays a critical role in the finance department by help manage cash flow and keeping accurate accounting systems and financial reports. A successful candidate will be detailed oriented and an excellent multi-tasker.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Voucher entry – ensuring invoices are accurate and per purchasing documents
• Payment processing – preparing weekly payment batches accurately and timely and ensuring all payments are in accordance with policy and procedures
• Reconciling and reviewing AP aging monthly, including following up to close any open AP invoices that are over a month old and obtain credits when necessary
• Maintains AP recordkeeping systems for finance department including updating necessary vendor account information
• Contacting vendors and obtains necessary documents needed to process invoices and payments, such as W9s, payment/bank details or other items
• Accurate processing of 1099s annually
• Maintaining detailed reports of vendor payments by recording cash, checks, and ACH transactions
• Reviewing and processing weekly expense reports to ensure timely reimbursement
• Overseeing basic accounting procedures for accounts payable
• Reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts and banking transactions
• Assist with preparation for annual audits and year end closing
• Any other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• High School Diploma Required and 2 years' work experience
• Associates’ degree in business management, accounting, or finance preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Experience in Microsoft Business Central is a plus
