Position will require frequent travel to fill temporary operations vacancies at various branches. Assists customers with their banking transactions while providing outstanding customer service. Handles all types of bank deposit transactions. Identifies customer needs by obtaining knowledge of bank products and services in order to cross-sell those services to the customer. Duties to include deposits, withdrawals, issuing counter checks, performing money transfers, new accounts and receiving loan payments. 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays 9am-1pm. Hours may fluctuate based on other branch needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Primary duties to include bank telling and opening new accounts
  • Travels to State Bank branches to provide support to the retail operations team when needed
  • Requires travel within Southern Utah region up to 60% of the time and may include overnight stays
  • Maintains and balance a cash drawer according to bank policy
  • Assist customers in their selection of various accounts, products and financial services from the bank
  • Accurately processes debit and credit transactions while maintaining compliance with established bank policies and procedures
  • Identifies customer needs and makes referrals, cross sells bank services and products, performs money transfers, receives loan payments, orders checks
  • Resolves customer problems
  • Dependable and able to manage their time to meet the needs of the bank
  • New accounts
  • Other clerical duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must pass a credit & background check
  • High School Graduate or (GED)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years Teller experience
  • 1 years New Accounts experience
  • 1 years’ experience interacting with the public
  • Bilingual a plus

Skills

  • Comfortable adapting to new situations, customers and personnel
  • Strong understanding of cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products and banking
  • Ability to effectively use a business computer system to process transactions and complete daily work
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in person and over the phone
  • Excellent customer service skills & attention to detail
  • Self-motivated to greet customers in a prompt, polite, and friendly way

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must present a valid driver's license & driver record
