What You Will Be Doing:
This position researches, plans, develops, and coordinates marketing and promotional material for Fairbanks International Airport (FAI). You will assist the Division Operations Manager (DOM) as a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the airport as prescribed in the Emergency Plan, Airport Certification Manual, and on the DOT Communications Committee. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the airport's marketing budget, handling other high-level tasks and assignments, and participating in recruitment efforts to attract top talent to the airport. Additionally, you must be able to interpret and apply rules and regulations that pertain to the entire airport, ensuring compliance and effective communication across the division.

A valid driver's license is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in business administration, international trade, industrial or economic development, economics, geography, marketing, or commerce.
AND
Two years of progressively responsible promotional, analytical, supervisory, production, management, or accounting experience at the professional level involving industrial or economic development.
Substitution: Additional qualifying experience in the area of industrial or economic development as specified above may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Graduate study in the appropriate area as specified may be substituted for the required experience for a maximum of one year.
