The Agency is seeking to fill a position within the Office of the General Counsel, Fair Hearing Section. The position is full-time, requires a five-day work week (Monday through Friday), and is located in Tallahassee, Florida. The position works under the supervision of the Fair Hearing Section Chief or designee.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Receive telephone calls and handle them appropriately.

Send and process incoming and outgoing emails, faxes and mail.

Run reports as requested.

This position will be hired at the salary rate of $36.00 hourly/non-negotiable.

What is OPS employment?

OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the discretion of the agency head or designee.

OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the agency head.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Upon commencement of employment in compliance with Agency policy, the incumbent shall receive New Employee Orientation, Plain Language, Customer Service, Sexual Harassment, Cultural Diversity, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Ethics, Supervisor, Computer Security Awareness, HIPAA and Medicaid 101 training. In addition, the incumbent shall receive training in substantive legal topics such as the civil procedural and evidentiary rules, and on the Fair Hearing Section case management system, as well as other agency computer systems.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of methods of tracking and organizing data.

Ability to plan, organize and complete work assignments and prepare reports.

Ability to use Microsoft Office software.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of two years’ experience working in customer service.

Minimum of one year of Microsoft Office experience.

Candidate with call center experience is preferred.

Preference may be given to bilingual candidates.
