This advertisement is for a part-time OPS position with the Florida Department of Corrections in the Office of Community Corrections.Hourly Rate: $40.00
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of museum establishment projects.
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records, documents, and files related to the museum's establishment process.
  • Conduct research on museum best practices, design trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data and information to inform decision-making related to museum design and coordination.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop the museum's layout, aesthetics, and thematic concepts.
  • Ensure alignment between design plans and the museum's mission, vision, and goals.
  • Coordinate the selection and procurement of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Develop and manage budgets for museum establishment projects.
  • Monitor expenses, track financial transactions, and reconcile accounts.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in project expenditures.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen issues.
  • Monitor project progress and address any deviations from established plans or objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate special events, fundraisers, and exhibitions related to the museum's establishment.
  • Document project milestones, achievements, and lessons learned for future reference.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles and practices to effectively plan and execute a given mission.
  • Knowledge of museum operations, including design, exhibit collection management, visitor services, and basic conservation practices.
  • Knowledge of design concepts, aesthetics, and spatial planning to coordinate the development of museum layouts, exhibits, and thematic elements.
  • Ability to work autonomously to translate concepts into actionable plans and specification proposals.
  • Skilled in the use of project planning tools, Microsoft Office, and other contemporary office equipment, and technology solutions.
