Total Compensation Estimator Tool Your Specific ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent of this position is responsible for the procurement of a variety of standard commodities and services for DOH – Sarasota County.
  • Responsible for processing purchase requisitions in MFMP Ariba On Demand (AOD) and ensuring that purchases comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  • Draft, review, and manage Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for products and services, including purchases from State Term Contracts and Alternate Contract Sources.
  • Create Blanket Purchase Orders (BPO) in MFMP on behalf of departments for recurring commodities/services used on an “as-needed” basis throughout the fiscal year.
  • Ensure receipt of all goods and services in MFMP
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to determine the appropriate payment type for individual purchases.
  • For procurements requiring a formal bid process, works in conjunction with the DOH Purchasing Program Office in the development of bid specifications, administration of the bid to include but not limited to advertising, posting, and award.
  • Aids department heads in determining commodity needs, best pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Regularly reviews DMS/DOH website for updates and revisions to State Term Contracts (STC), Alternate Contract Sources (ACS), and State Purchasing Agreements (SPA).
  • Interviews salespersons and vendor representatives to evaluate new and substitute products, ensuring best price, quality, availability, and submits requests for informal bids/proposals.
  • MFMP Champion for DOH-Sarasota.
  • Assists with supervision and management of Purchasing Technician.
  • Performs “Records Management Liaison Officer” (RMLO) and related functions for FDOH - Sarasota.
  • Supports Finance and Accounting department as needed.
  • Performs related work as required.
