Total Compensation Estimator Tool Our Organization and Mission: The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Position Summary: This is a full-time position in the Antitrust Enforcement Division that provides administrative support to the attorneys and other legal staff. The work hours are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a legal office. Pay: $33,742.00 - $35,589.00 Annually Qualifications
  • Three years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute on a year for year basis for each year of the required work experience.
  • Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one (1) year of the required work experience.
The Work You Will Do: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform data entry; compile and prepare attorney(s) hours for billing purposes.
  • Make travel arrangements for attorneys, which include airline, hotel, and rental car reservations; upon return compute the amount of per diem and expense reimbursement due, prepare expense vouchers for a transmittal to finance section for payment, and maintain each attorneys’ travel and expense files.
  • Screen telephone calls for attorneys, as required, and communicate, by telephone or in person, with other officials, attorneys, the public, the staff, and staff members of other agencies on behalf of supervising attorneys and investigators.
  • This involves greeting visitors to the office, transmitting messages, responding to requests for data, copies of pleadings and briefs, copies of laws and other materials referring telephone calls to appropriate staff members; place calls to court officials and others to ascertain status of cases, etc.
  • Prepare closed files for archiving utilizing OAG guidelines.
  • Retrieve and process Division mail.
  • Performs other administrative tasks as required
