State of Georgia is Hiring a Personnel Manager- Macon YDC- Macon, Georgia (NSC) Near Macon, GA

Job Summary:

Under broad supervision, performs duties for a variety of Human Resource Management programs and provides assistance to program activities. Performs data collection and analysis for salary and benefit administration, salary, benefit and classification programs, compensation, and benefit program design, assists in the development of policies and programs, and supports special projects. Owns assigned tasks. May serve as a lead or train staff.
PrimaryDuties&Responsibilities:

Applies analytical and professional expertise to multiple personnel disciplines

Assesses training/development needs

Assists in assessing needs and develops position analysis instruments and materials Conducts research on various personnel matters and compiles data, citing sources used Analyzes data or information to produce reports and other documents

Conducts special projects with significant impact on agency's personnel activities

Identifies and resolves more complex personnel issues

Initiates or conducts research on various personnel issues

Observes, interviews, and surveys employees and may conduct focus group meetings to collect position, organizational, and occupational information

Researches and prepares occupational classifications, position descriptions, salary scales and competency appraisal measures and systems

Serves as a technical expert in area of specialty.

Assists in the development and revision of payroll policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

May serve as a lead worker

May train subordinate staff in proper procedures of day-to-day operations

Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision

EntryQualifications:
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience performing human resources job-related functions; or one (1) year of experience required at
the lower level HR Analyst 2 (HRP051) or position equivalent.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge
and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience performing human resources job-related functions; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Analyst 2 (HRP051) or position equivalent.
