State of Idaho is Hiring a Human Resource Business Partner II, OAG Near Boise, ID

DescriptionState of Idaho Opportunity
Closing Date: Open until filled.
Start Date: To be determined upon hire.
Salary: $30.00 to $34.00 – Depends on experience

Location: Boise, Idaho.
Primary Duties: The selected candidate for the Human Resource Business Partner II position will be tasked with consulting with applicants, employees, and supervisors regarding recruitment, reasonable accommodations, benefits, compensation, and employee relations. Interpreting, applying, and explaining documents or actions for compliance with policies and state and federal laws. Performing job analysis and developing job classification recommendations. Conducting orientation and onboarding new employees, and coordinating offboarding tasks. Assisting in the implementation of the recruitment process to include reviewing job descriptions and posting job announcements. Contributing to employee engagement and retention strategies. Assisting with and coordinating presentations and training. Processing payroll using the State of Idaho statewide payroll system. This position may require travel a few times a year.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience working in human resources in one or more of the following areas: recruitment, job analysis and classification, performance management concepts (i.e., coaching, ongoing feedback, goal setting, employee engagement, etc.), and salary administration. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Strong computer skills and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Word and Excel. The candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the public sector and using the statewide system Luma is a plus. Knowledge of some equal employment opportunity concepts and legal requirements is preferred. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
