LOCATION OF POSITIONMDH, Caroline County Health Department, Denton, MD
Main Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of Administration for Caroline County Department of Health (CCHD). This position provides oversight to the Fiscal and Administrative services that support services delivered by CCHD. The incumbent ensures policies and procedures related to fiscal and administrative processes are followed, and is responsible for oversight of billing, procurement, budget analysis, accreditation, and the triennial audit.
The position supports the Health Officer in the leadership of CCHD in pursuit of its mission to preserve, promote, and protect the health of all Caroline County residents. The Director of Administration is a managerial level position and reports to the Deputy Health Officer of Operations. The Director of Administration assists the Health Officer and DHO, and other members of the executive staff team to develop and operationalize the Strategic Plan, Workforce Development Plan, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan, and other CCHD goal setting.
The Director of Administration is responsible for the direction, management, and supervision of day-to- day operations through subordinate division directors. The Director of Administration oversees the Fiscal Department, Office Administration, and Medical Assistance Transportation.
Minimum QualificationsQualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience with health services operations including three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience. Health Services Operations experience includes experience with fiscal and budget, procurement, and/or human resources.
Additional health services operations experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree at the rates of one year for 30 credits, up to 4 years.
SELECTION PROCESSThis is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.
