State of Maryland is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Adelphi, MD

Position: Technical Project Manager

Location: Hybrid - Adelphi, MD 20783

Duration: 24 Months

Position Description

  • Experience working with Jira or other Kanban-like tools for managing work with a strong understanding of warehousing principles and methodologies.
  • Track customer requests in a request management system
  • Conduct weekly reviews of requests and Bi-weekly strategic alignment meetings
  • Publish monthly updates to the user community about new developments or enhancements to the analytical dashboards (e.g. monthly release notes)
  • Provide project leadership for initiatives both internal to the Analytics team and external.
  • Provide coordination of technical resources (e.g data engineers)

Their existing technical stack

For Data Warehouse they are using AWS Redshift. They use SOS-Berlin Job Scheduler (primarily) and some stored procedures to orchestrate our SQL or python scripts for ELT. Data integrations (i.e. for source system replication) are handled through a combination of SQL or PL/SQL scripts executed over a DBLink (for Oracle databases), retrieving flat files that are loaded into Redshift via COPY, API calls accessed via Python, or Qlik Replicate for cross-database replication. For BI They use Tableau

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $64.21 - $68.34 per hour
