This position will be located at 1659 E. Elm St., Jefferson City MO.

The Planning and Development (P&D) Program’s team is one that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse setting that emphasizes professionalism without losing sight of the importance of having fun.

  • Provide purchasing and payment support to program, i.e. p-cards, expense reports, bulk fuel, obtaining quotes, competitive bids, and request for proposals, etc
  • Make travel and lodging arrangements for the program and statewide construction manager and crew
  • Provide support to the statewide construction crew and manager, i.e. schedule utility locate services, equipment service and repair, crew scheduling and general project logistics.
  • Handle personnel paperwork and processes for program and statewide crew; i.e. submit personnel requests as needed, utilize HireTrue for vacancy and applicant tracking and to submit requests to hire; prepare interview packets as needed; and assist in the onboarding of new team members.
  • Obtain and distribute program mail, answer phones, greet guests, manage the office supply inventory and order as needed, assist in scheduling meetings, and schedule the program vehicle for maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in reviewing and organizing the program’s filing systems, disposing of unneeded information.

  • Decisiveness: Makes well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, even when data are limited, or solutions produce unpleasant consequences; perceives the impact and implications of decisions.
  • Flexibility: Is open to change and new information; rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • 4-6 year’s experience in administrative support and logistical coordination
  • or a Bachelor’s degree business admin, accounting, or closely related field and 0-2 year’s experience in administrative support and logistical coordination. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
